Introducing a new optical glass for polished lenses effective for chromatic aberration.

Advantages

We are pleased to announce the release of a new optical glass type named S-NBM52 which has higher dispersion and maintains the same anomalous dispersion of S-NBM51 which has been used for various applications for many years. This new material is expected to be effective in correcting chromatic aberration of optical lenses, thereby improving the performance of customers’ products. It also has various lens applications, such as interchangeable lenses for various cameras, projectors, and machine vision devices.

  • Highly dispersed in the nearby low refractive index region while maintaining Δθg,F
  • Lower specific gravity compared to S-NBM51; d = 2.86
