Hello I work as an optical manufacturing engineer at AMOS in Belgium. We work in the fields of professional astronomy, optical instrumentation and aerospace. As part of the production of a new optical collimator type instrument, I am looking for a supplier to produce 2 x 2 mirrors (M1 & M2), either a D20 diamond-ground finish, or pre-polished. These mirrors are between 400mm (M1) and 205mm (M2) in diameter. M1 mirror' surface is a concave asphere, M2 mirror' surface is a convex asphere. The pre-selected material is fused silica, this is how I found you, bbut maybe you have other materials for this type of mirror ? Can you make this type of product? Optikos is quoting a program that will require 14.5” clear aperture and 1.9” clear aperture mirrors made from CLEARCERAM-Z HS substrate. The aspect ratio would be between 5:1 and 6:1 and the surface figure would be 1/10 wave, but at this time we are just hoping to get a RoM lead time estimate for blanks for these mirrors. I just saw you have discontinued the LICGC AG-01 membranes product. We use these substrates for research in quantum materials because they are very flat.
